Hi! I'm an indie crochet designer and crafter from Quezon City, Philippines.
I've always been into handicraft hobbies, mainly crochet, since I learned it as a child in the 70's.
Through the years, this solitary hobby of mine either took up a lot of time than was worth it, saved me from boredom, or relieved me from everyday worries. Now, thanks to the internet and social media, crocheting for me became more than a pastime. I learned to make lots of stuff I can actually use, be able to sell, or be proud to give. And with a little more patience, I learned to write patterns and became a published designer.

When I started my blog at http://mycrochetstuff.blogspot.com/ in 2005, I felt I had a mission to share links, patterns, tutorials and tips. At the time crochet and crafts were just starting to explode on the internet, it was easy to find an audience. Now most of the talent in the world is out there, it is exciting as well as humbling. There's so many choices in crochet materials, techniques and projects - so many possibilities! Yet sometimes it seems like everything one can think of has already been done. So I try to focus on what I can do best, and to continue to believe that I still have something new to offer. As a freelance crochet designer, my intention is to create something I would love to wear and others would appreciate.

I had published patterns since 2007 for several designs made for Coats Manila Bay (Philippines), using their Cannon and Anchor threads.
In 2009, I aspired to get my designs published in the U.S., and fortunately was given that chance by Interweave Crochet editors.
I debuted in the magazine with my design, Moth Wings Shrug (Interweave Crochet Summer 2010 issue). This was followed by another design published in Interweave Crochet Summer 2012 issue, the Lauren Sweater, and on Interweave Crochet Summer 2013, the Hibiscus Tunic. I also have a design called Sienna Top in the 2014 published book, It Girl Crochet by Sharon Zientara.
My latest published design is Limpet Lace Top, featured in Interweave Crochet Summer 2016.
(These publications are available in the Interweave Store and can also be purchased individually as pdf patterns).

I will continue to create and design, knowing others use and appreciate my work. I will always be grateful to my crochet buddies, and to Google, Ravelry, and Etsy, for being accessible.
